Important Dates

Nomination Period: Closes March 27th at 5pm


Nominations forms will be held on the RRRA website and on the RRRA Instagram.  The nomination period shall end on March 27th at 5:00pm , with the official nomination forms submitted to the Elections Office no later than this time. The nomination forms shall require the full names of the nominators, the member of the Association for whom they are nominating, and their student numbers - both the nominee student ID and the nominator ID. Pursuant to section 29 of the RRRA Electoral Code, nominees must receive a corresponding number of signatures per each executive role;


  • President - 15 signatories
  • Vice President Administration - 15 signatories
  • Vice President Programming - 15 signatories


Validation period: March 28th


The CEO will notify all successful nominees via a confirmation email from vpa@rrra.ca by the end of the Nomination Period. Before the Campaigning Period starts, the CEO will publicly declare Nominees as validated for candidacy, upon their acceptance. There shall be no Campaigning during this period.


All Candidates Meeting: March 28th


This will be a meeting for all verified candidates, the CEO will talk about the election and election rules, this will happen the day before the campaign period.  The meeting will start at 7:30pm and will approximately go until 8:30pm. This training and meeting is mandatory for all verified candidates.


Campaign Period: March 29th - April 5th


The Campaign Period will start on March 29th, 2025 at 9:00AM, with the last day of Campaigning on April 5th, 2025 at 5:00PM. Campaigning will be held all online through social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok) and in-person. The rules and guidelines can be found in the electoral code on the RRRA website or through the elections office socials.


All Candidates Debate: April 3rd


There is will be one all candidates debate during the campaign period that will be held through a Zoom webinar and it will be available to anyone to watch. This will be a typical debate format for all candidates.


Election Days: April 4th - April 5th


The ballot will be sent to every residence student through their CMAIL The ballot will be open for 2 days (April 4th and 5th) The candidates are allowed to campaign during this period.
